I found this guitar string notes chart on Wikipedia and thought it would be good to include here on the blog for any new players who still might be learning the notes on the guitar fret board.

As you can see the 6 rows refer to the 6 guitar string with the top row being the high E string down to the low E string at the bottom. The numbers along the top refer to the fret with 0 being the open string. So as you can see, the open strings on the guitar have the notes E, B, G, D, A and E (from highest to lowest stings, pitch wise).
I thought these guitar string notes might be helpful for beginners who are just starting out, so enjoy.
